I've rode both. The Shadow is a heavier feeling bike. It's engine has a little bit more power, so it accelerates slower than the Savage up to about 90 KPH, and then the Shadow starts to catch up. The Shadow has a top speed about 10 or 15 KPH faster.
The Savage has much better handling but a harsher suspension. Of the two I'd say the Savage is better for city and the Shadow is better for highway.
